No the formula will not work for the fork springs, it is simular in concept but has a different slope and y intercept. sence there is no linkage for the fork it is based on weight of bike, unsprung weight, front to rear weight bias and rider weight.

Rob, I know Jer's take on fork oil,Mobil 1
ATF,please I'm not trying to stir any thing
up but what do you use? If my previous post
was correct you could use something lighter
due to stiffer valving.

I am very pleased you have worked out your
differences at least for this forum. I also
have no problem with the "that's private
info" type of answer. You are both trying
to make a living and you can't give away
