Subject: OFF ROAD VEHICLE USE/RIVERSIDE COUNTY

Good Morning, there is a movement underway in Riverside County, to change your right to ride and limit your use of your motorcycle on your own property.
this is quietly being pushed by a group of horse enthusiasts in Aguonga.

I 'd like you to immediately involve your web sites and publications to make the motorcycle riding public aware that your rights are being usurped.

THERE WILL BE A PUBLIC HEARING AT THE RIVERSIDE COUNTY PLANNING OFFICE, GROUND FLOOR, ON OCTOBER 20,2004

PLEASE ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO E-MAIL OR ATTEND THIS MEETING. a link is provided;

mbalys@rctlma.org

this is the email to the planner , Mark Balys, Deputy Planning Director, working on this project, which is being recommended for approval by the County.

The big Boss on the planning commission is Robert Johnson, phone no. 909-955-3265

Thanks dingoe.

This is not only Riverside County. When things like this are put into law, it spreads to other Countys and States.

Those that attend this meeting should ask where the money is????

Riverside County has the second largest OHV registration in all of California. Yet we have the worst excuse for a ohv park. What happened to all of the money??? I want to know.

The big problem is the enviro's.. The unfounded lawsuits. They file lawsuit after lawsuit under the endangered species act. It doesn't matter if the species is actually endangered or not. Just by filing the lawsuit they get the area closed to the public until the case comes up in court. The problem is, there are so many cases on file the courts may never get to all of them. In the meantime, the land remains closed to the public.

A little exerpt from O.R.B.A., the off road business assn. newsletter. "Julie MacDonald, Senior Advisor to the Assistant Secretary for Fish and Wildlife and Parks, testified that 100% of the agencys budget goes to respond to court orders resulting from lawsuits filed under the Endangered Species Act." She said it would take 10 years of the Agencys current budget to respond to the huge backlog of existing court orders. As a result, NO FUNDS REMAIN TO ACUTALLY DEAL WITH MANAGING THE SPECIES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ESA. :bang:

In the meantime, petition after petition , drafted by enviromental organizations are being filed to list new species.

If everyone does not get activly involved in this, we're screwed. :think:

If you can't attend the meeting, PLEASE, write a letter.
