Installing Hinson clutch basket

Ok, I searched for this topic but could not find anything that would help me. I am trying to remove the old clutch basket to install the new one. I removed the pressure plate, clutch disk's and that inner hub that comes off after removing the nut. I am ready to remove the clutch basket but it only slides up a little bit. I looks like it hits the case or something but I am not sure. What am I doing wrong? I thought you could just slide the old clutch basket out of there. Any suggestion's? 2001 CR250

On my Kx125 all I had to do was slide it out of the clutch cover. You may have to remove the whole side instead of just the clutch cover.

On my '96 CR250 I had to take off the right crankcase cover in order to get the basket out. I assume this is the case with your bike. Also, don't forget you have to drain the anti freeze before peeling off the cover. Good luck.
