Yep, a box with an X in it doesn't seem real crazy to me. :confused: Right click and click "show picture", still just an x box. How about a link? :D

OK, now's it workin. Yeah that is the craziest thing on 3 wheels I've ever seen:cool: . Those minkeys are CRAZY. I also like watching them at the Ile of Mann TT race. I once saw a monkey leaning into a right hander, and his driver got a little to close. Or mabey the monkey just forgot to move in for that split second. But anywho, the monkeys head hit the slabbed wall:eek: . He was alright, he got back up and started chasin his rider, because his bud didn't notice his monkey was gone until the next corner (several hundred yards away) when the side car came flying yp off the tarmac a couple of feet:confused:

Ok, I got the pic. Yes, that is totally nuts (to be the passengeranyway). And who would trust a driver that calls you the "monkey"? I'm scared enough just trusting myself to not get in big touble. :cool:

We have them at out lacal tracks about 4 times a year-they make such a mess-heavily modified 500cc and 700cc twins with 2 riders and huge rear tyres, tend to act like a big earth mover-they look really weird over jumps as the whole outfit tends to lean over in the air and land at strange angles:scream:

There must be something wrong with the passenger. Maybe they are not coordinated enough to ride by themselves. Check out the front suspension on that trike. Definitely some creative engineering.

Sidecar MX racing is a big thing in Europe. The "monkey" is not a passenger !! His role in the race is keeping the whole thing at the track.
Most of them are very skilled riders themselves.

For the earth moving thing : Hey guys, come on, are we dirt riders that can beat a rutt, or flat trackers !:mad:

My Mother--

used to tell us kids stories about the times my Dad talked her into sidecar racing with him back in the 40's. :cool:

She enjoyed it, and always considered it one of the biggest thrills in her life. :)

Gave it up for motherhood---go figure, my mother was a monkey. :cool:

That's why "passenger" is not a good words for those guys.

I'll try to get some video's, my brother still lives in Holland.
He must be able to get his hands on some.

That front "fork" reminds me of that think Honda did about 15 years ago. I wonder why they go through all that trouble instead of just using regular telescopic forks?

The swing arm front is needed to deal with the sideway forces the side-car
pulls on the whole combination.
With a right side-car the whole thing tends to pull to the right,with a left side-car it's the opposite ofcourse.the rider has to counter steer this ALL THE TIME
The telescopes would bend orsimply twist inside their tripple clamps !
Imagine the forces these guys are dealing with !!

So you're saying the constant pulling from the side car and counter steering would make regular forks twist..... Wow that is a lot of force.

It's a blast doing it, and when it's your trusted brother driving, you don't have to worry. The driver always gets the worst in crashes anyway! :D
The passenger does the most work. The average MXer can barely last a lap as a passenger. :scream:
Hanging out in the turns is something everyone ought to try at least once! ;)
