is it safe to ride without the bolts that go into the rear of the swingarm that keep the rear tire from possibly moving forward (towards the engine)?

I wouldnt ride w/out the bolts.. I broke one once and it bent my axle when the tire went sideways.. It was a pain to get the bent axle out of the rim..
Good luck,
Rick

If you also remove the chain before riding, you will have no problem.:debil:

If the wheel advances forward during your ride, The chain could wreck your sprockets, jam, break, or bend the axle as said before.
Not worth the chance, to many bad things could happen.

i broke one of those bolts once while riding. i have no earthly idea of how it happened. i had never heard of that before. the wheel slid forward on that side and the sidewall of the tire got into the chain. it tore up the side knobs pretty bad. i thought i had a flat and pulled over immediately but the damage was done.

I'm glad you thought to ask, but if you think something might not ba safe, then it probably isn't.
