I have an 87 Kx 250. Are the cyliders plated in this particular bike? If so, than I think mine may have been sleeved. I rebuilt the bike sorta. I had to replace all of the seals and gaskets. I also had to replace the aluminum power valve because I found it to be broken in three places and the gear was stripped off. Any ideas why it was broken? It wasn't carboned up! I have one other problem, the cylinder head seeps coolent out the side of the head gasket, both sides. could it be a warped head? It only seems to seep out from the outside, no leaks to the inside of the engine. Other than that the bike runs like a champ. :rotfl:

If a magnet sticks to the liner it's not plated.

Parts break on old bikes. Your PV just wore out.

The head could be warped. You'll need a surface plate (or an know piece of flat glass) and some feeler gauges to tell for sure.
