Is stock jetting rich?

I have been reading that stock jetting is generally rich. Does this apply to all jets? So would you generally lean out the pilot, needle clip, and main? All things equal, and I realize there is no perfect answer for all applications.

Nick,
You are correct, there is no perfect answer of what jets to use. Many factors enter into the equasion. Yes, most bikes will be a bit fat on the circuits for different reasons. But the basics will depend on where you are and how you ride and at what fuel/oil ratio.
If you are looking for a boiler plate setting for jets, you may want to try to lean out all circuits a bit, but the best advise would be to find a jetting tutorial and follow it. If you don't want to jet it up right, you may want to stay with the OEM settings.
