How many of you have seen the new JITB commercial with Jack, Lawrence Taylor, and Greg Boitano sitting in a boat as a dollar bill floats by? ( It's a spoof of the Bradshaw--10/10/220 commercials.)
Anyway, at the end of the commercial, one of them says, "Sow-cow!!!", there's a moment of silence, then they all begin to laugh.
No-one in our family, including myself, gets it.
Can anyone explain this? I know a lot of you DRNers' are pretty sharp, and someone is bound to know this.
BTW, I even went to the JITB web-site---they had a description of the commercial, but did not explain the tag-line.:confused:

I believe the sow-cow is a skating "move" like the lutz,toe loop,or triple axcel.The commercial still stinks.:silly:

sounds to me like you know a lot about figure skating, T.T. :p Just kidding, my wife watches the stuff so I can't help but absorb some of it too. Brian Boitano is a figure skater. That's just a really weird name for a graceful move(sow cow), and they laugh like it's been an inside joke of theirs. BTW- apparently Brian Boitano isn't gay. Go figure.

The jump is called the SALCHOW.

Sheesh, first the "Cordova" (named El Cordobes by it's inventor, Edgar Torronteras, after a famous bullfighter), and now this.

It is used like the word "SUCKER!" or "SUCKA!". So I guess it's supposed to be funny that 'Salchow' sounds like 'Sucka' when you say it in a 'wassup' voice.

No question about it, Jack is spoofing our culture 110% with their latest ad campaign.

My wife makes we watch it from time to time.I guess I have to give up something for watching hour upon hour of College Football.;)
