Before I purchase new fork springs for my 96 rm144, I wanted to check if my spare .43kg/mm springs from a 00 cr250 would interchange....looked on race-tech's site for the specifics and came up with this...

96 rm - series 4352 with dimensions 43.2 x 43.2 x 523 mm
00 cr 250 - series 4349 with dimensions 42.9 x 42.9 x 493 mm

the difference in free length is 30mm short...can I make up that difference with any spacers? Or is that difference too much for this switch? Thanks for your input, Ben

From what I understand, Jeremy is in Texas this weekend. He's the title suspension sponsor for KTM's amature program.

I may be wrong, but in my opinion, those springs won't interchange. 30mm is a pretty big difference in length. You might get coil bind. Not to mention that the ID of the springs is completely different.
