I have gone from a 50 pilot to a 45, the main is 175. The needle is stock at the second clip. The bike feels too rich on the bottom. The air screw is 1 1/2 turns out. I'm also thinking of changing the power jet down one size as well. This bike has been tricky. I run an fmf gnarly with a turbine core spark arrester. The top has always been good but up to 1/2 throttle it feels sluggish. Thanx :bang:

I had the same experience as you. I went to a VForce reed cage and it seemed to clean-up the off-idle richness that I couldn't get rid of with my feeble jetting skills. I'm now at a 47.5 pilot and the thing barks.

Have you changed the power jet? My problem is the bike just seems to not like the 1/4 to 1/2 throttle range. If I were to jet this circuit, combined with my flywheel weight, the bike would rule. I have jetted Mikuni carbs for friends, and they worked fine. I'm not used to a carb with a power jet. It shuts off after 1/2 throttle. Have you changed this ?
