Hi All, I have read this handy little guide on the main page and found it very helpful. I'm just not sure i understand that last part on a baseline.

I have a 2001 KDX220, wiseco piston, boysen dual stage reeds, gnarly pipe/silencer, UNI filter, modded airbox lid with the stock carb.

I'll be riding between 0-3k ft at 65+ degree temps. What i figured would be good would be 42 pilot, 145 main and clip on the second from the top?

I guess my question would be, is that a good idea? The article says i should go leaner on the main if i have power reeds, so does that mean 140-142?

I ran basically the same setup for a while in similar conditions - did lots of testing. 38/145 seemed to work the best for me (assuming you have the factory 33mm carb). I had the RB 36mm carb mod and went to a 40/152.

Listen to crhines above - sounds about right. IMO you are too rich on pilot jet. Be sure you are in second ring from top with clip on needle. Ride safe. John
