Just bought a 1983 KDX200 with an LA Sleeve big bore kit. The guy who had the bike before me ran the carb lean and melted the piston. What does the carb need to be jetted to to compensate for the larger cylinder? It is a 72mm bore. Please help!

Give Fredette a call or better yet work through the jetting yourself. You'll learn all sorts of things about your bike and how to recognize poor running conditions so the engine doesn't do the same thing again. You can find instructions on the JustKDX web page.

Be sure to check and insure it wasn't a mechanical problem that caused the piston to melt down before you even start.
