I have a 2001 KDX220 I have removed the airbox lid and installed a FMF Knarly woods expansion chamber and have left the stock silencer on. I ride in altitudes from 3000ft to 8000ft (Calgary Alberta) and temperatures usually around 15 to 20 degC. I am currently using a 160 main jet with the clip position 3rd from the top. This jetting is great around home (3600ft) but is too rich when I head out into the mountains...if I lean it out I am worried that it may be too lean at lower altitudes. Any better suggestions for jetting?

It's all here, on CDave's site:

http://justkdx.dirtrider.net

Charts for changes in altitude, starting points on different mods, etc etc.

Your bike will run MUCH better when it's close to correct jet-wise.

Have fun!!

Since your running a 160 main in a 220 I assume your carb is bored??

If so then use the KDX200 jetting specs on the JustKDX site linked in the above post.
