Would like a little feed back about other riders jetting.

I ride at 1000-2000 meters…between 70-85 degrees. I thinking of the following changes. Please respond since my jetting experience is limited. My dealer has mentioned that the charts on the back of the manuel is too rich...so, how much leaner
should I go?

My current setting is.

Needle: H
Position: 2nd
Main jet: 172
Idle jet: 40

Eh, it might help if you give us the year and model of bike ? Is the slide stock ? Airscrew ?

Opps,

'00 250 EXC with a stock slide...I also use premium pump at 42:1 with a good
full synthetic oil. I normally ride trails in mountainous regions.

hope this helps, Rob:o

Are you also saying that you ride from ~3000' to 6100' in elevation, or when you stated meters, did you mean feet?

When your dealer stated that the manual is rich, did he give you any suggestions?

Two quick things that are going to help, regardless of other factors are #6.5 (or#7 slide), and a single taper needle.

First try the NOZI needle in the #2 or #1 groove, modifying the slide to a 6.5 is a good idea. If you ride in the Spokane area you might want to richen the main and the slow jet a little after the slide mod.
