Okay, since no one seems to have used an 11 or 12T cs sprocket on a KDX 50, has anyone done this on the JR 50? If so, have you been pleased w/ the differnce in initial power climbing small hills, or taking off as compared to the stock countershaft sprocket?

Thanks for any input.

I have not tried the smaller sprockets but if you search on this site you will find that most people are grinding the tab on the shift linkage to allow for the use of the hidden second gear which is actually a first gear, thus lower than the normal gear you are using. That may be easier and essentially a free mod to get you high climbing power.

I ordered a 12T and an 11T countershaft sprocket for our 04 kdx50 when we had it. I didn't notice much difference with the 12T but the 11T worked great. It wasn't as fast up top but it had better bottom end. I weigh around 220 lbs and it would pul me around the yard with ease.
