Jumping - Better in higher or lower rpm's?

You are probably right Hog. The brain teaser for me is the fact that if your bike was split in the middle, the two halves would be trying to rotate (linearly) in opposite directions but both in the same direction about their respective axis.

what we are saying is that, all else being equal, your bike would tend to get sideways LESS if you keep the rpms up. Of course, normally this is related to what gear you are in, but you could get the same effect by holding the clutch in and revving it . I've jumped with the clutch in before, but never thought much about revving the engine.

A little sideways is good, yes?
