From Doug Conner at EWDRA:

Would any of you that have access to a website please post this. This will
be one of the 2 times a year the farmer wants to close the road across his
property. This is the last mile of Peterson Road that is access to Juniper
Dunes. You will still be able to access the dunes but will need to park on
section 28 and ride around the east side of section 21. This is the site the
BLM announcement should be on
http://www.blm.gov/or/districts/spokane/index.php

Thanks

Doug

Thanks for the help, Doug.

Perhaps another favor...

DeRuyter notified us that he wants to close the road for planting between
May 1st through the 10th. Could you post a notice that the road will be
closed for that period on your website? And contact any other websites you
think could help get the word out. Folks will have to use the Section 28
access for the weekend of May 5 & 6.

We'll be publishing a BLM news release and have it on our site as well.
I'm not sure we'll have time to get a gate put up, but probably have some
signs at least.

Thanks again for helping us get through some of the initial rough spots,
Doug.

And some problems to be aware of from Doug at EWDRA:

This is a heads-up. We heard from DeRuyter that he had problems over last weekend with people accessing the Dunes from his ground in section 17.

Apparently they are coming in off Hwy 395. He was upset but is still
willing to work with us. The purpose of this note is to ask your help in
getting the word out (fast) that people cannot access the area from the
north and to please respect private property. Many more of these incidents
will ruin it for everyone else.

We are working on placing more signage and some fencing to help, but that takes a little more time.

Thanks for your help, Doug.

Take care.
