Hi guys, just put a downpayment on a 2001 KDX 200. The bike has 16 miles on it and is showroom, completely stock. I got it for $1900 so I think I did pretty good. What I'm wondering is if I'm too big for it. I'm 6'2" and weigh 235. The guy didn't have anywhere to really wring it out but it felt like it pulled me pretty good. Ergo wise it seemed to fit me nice. I've ridden open class bikes for many years, but a bad back is forcing me into something a lot lighter. Do you think this will pull my big butt around OK ? Thanks for any advice. Jake

Actually, a KDX weighs more than a KX 500

Yeah, I had one of those in '90 but the bike I'm replacing now is an XR 600 and I know it don't weigh THAT much,LOL!

My dad is 6'1' and well.... over 235 and rides a 220 with a Garly and Turbine Core2. It pulls awsome!

FWIW, I'm 6'2 200lbs with an '03 200, and it pulls me VERY well.

When I started my search in July I initially discounted the 200 because I thought it was too small, but a great sale and financing changed my mind. I'm glad I got it now, it can really get up and go with no problems, and the only engine mods I've made are the airbox mod and carb jetting. :thumb:

Check out the 'tall rider' mods you can do on the kdx.
