When I start the bike up it revs like wide open throttle when I hit the kill switch I have to hold it in. I never had to hold it in to completely stop the engine off. I checked the throttle and it is not stuck open. help!!! Thanks

you have an intake air leak that gives a lean condition that favors high revs at low load.
could be between your carb and the crankcase, a bad base gasket, or a bad crank seal.
Let me know what you find.

Are you sure the slide is installed properly. throttle cable not binding or frayed.
