After reading thru all the posts about leaking seals i need to confirm how much lower leg play is acceptable, my sons 2002 kx125 with 48 mm kayabas has play also, i thought it was steering bearings but it isnt, the forks dont really leak ,but there is noticable movement when holding the front brake and rocking the wheel back and forth, i had seals put in about 3 months ago, when they start leaking badly are the bushings wore out ? He has a race next weekend and im not going to have time to order parts and install them, this may have been happening all along but i just noticed it, im thinking ill have the bushing done after this race, but i dont want to go too long and mess up even more internals, is it best to use kawasaki parts or aftermarket? thanks for the replies...

If you are going to do it yourself PivotWorks makes a complete fork rebuild kit with seals, bushings & all nec o-rings. Price is right!

You probably need new bushing, which is not that bad. I would recommend all stock parts, especially seals. I have never had good luck with aftermarket seals.
