I have an original 200 A1, the flywheel has thrown 2 magnets.
Does anyone know if later model flywheels,
1) have the same magnet size and curve or
2) are the flywheels interchangable or
3) can the magnets be rebonded to the flywheel ( in the same place to keep the same timing) & if so
4) where can I source some.

Thanks for any tips, Zet

I have a flywheel with three good magnets and one broken magnet from an '85. I replaced it with a good flywheel from an '84. I think that all the '83-'85 are essentially the same. The same flywheel may be useable for even more years than that. They don't change the ignition much.

You'd have to find a way to remove one good magnet from your flywheel and reattach it to this flywheel. Let me know how ambitious you are. eBay is another good alternative. OH... I see you're from Down Under. Shipping maybe a bit tricky.

Ive heard of people roughing up the metal and using a good two-part epoxy. I guess its worth a shot....i would have tried it had my magnets not shattered. The worst case-scenario is that the magnet unattaches and messes up your cool.

Good luck
