Can anyone advise me about a problem I have with a 1991 UK spec KDX 250. It runs rich, which after reading a load of info from this site seems to be common. I've put a K & N filter on which has helped. The main jet is stamped 128, I was expecting bigger but this bike as I say is an import for the uk. Should I reduce the jet size. Also does any one know the float height for a 250cc, is it 16mm like the 200 & 220.

did you ever find the float height out? 16mm is way off looking at the carb float heights as it is now? My stop tap on my tank isn't quite off in the off position and my carb spills out fuel when stood? Checked the needle it's ok nice tip to it? and when in place and bowl full blowing down the fuel pipe it seems shut off but it has pee'd a shed load of fuel out whilst stood. When running bike, knock it off and the overflow just starts to run out quickly i badly need to get height setting from somebody pretty please?
