KDX motor in KX chasis question. The Pipe.

I am unclear why the KDX pipe would not work on the KX250 frame. The frame is very similar and if you are making motor mounts, it seems that you could line it up. I realize the engine may be 1/2" higher or something but that is not as bad as having a battery up high like the newer off road bikes do.

I understand some companies may actually make pipes or sell pipe parts that will work, but with respect to the KDX pipe and the KX chasis, won't it line up if you make mounts to line up exhaust and not just to lower motor as far as it will go, or worst case have the need to make an extension for the inlet? Is it really off that far to make the KDX pipe not usable?

Any insight on this?

Good question,Would make sense to use the KDX pipe if it would fit.I see Mark England used a GasGas Gnarly on his KX125/KDX hybrid. Is it possible to use a KX250 pipe with modification?

I left him a question about that. Thanks for the info though, I ran a search and found the post.

Just spoke to DynoPort. They make pipes alright. $350 a pop.
