KDX side stands

Is there a problem with the side stand staying up when riding with the KDX? my dad and I just bought 220s from different sellers and both were missing the side stand? Looking for the convenience of the side stand. Anyone have any ideas where I can find that part?

You might give Jeff a call at FRP , he sometimes has used parts around. Many KDX riders will take off the sidestand because they tend to hang up in ruts, or catch on boulders & stumps in tight trails. Why they would not incude it with the sale is another question... :think:

Sometimes you can find used ones for sale on e b a y. After a couple of season's use, the spring weakens and the sidestand will flop around excessively. I've had to replace mine about once every two years.

I never had a problem with that happening but it loosened a few times for me. I have a stand for a 2000 if you are interested.
