Hey there i WAS WONDERING IF PILOT JETTING WILL EFFECT THE IDLE. iN MY 81 250 THE STOCK PILOT IS A 60 AND THE ONE IN IT IS A 42. The bike won't idle at all but runs good through the range. My friends tell me a 60 is way to rich but thats what it calls .
Thanks for the advice.

You may have a worn piston or rings on your hands, when my 220 was tired I had to keep screwing the idle adjustment it until it finally would not idle at all, I replaced the piston and rings and had to back the idle way back out to get it adjusted.

Did your 220 have a really obvious lack of power and bad compression?? My bike has 140lbs and seems like bags of power, could it still need rings??
