Me and my dad have both been riding for a year on our Mx style track. We want to keep our own track intresting and want somthing fresh. We are always improving our own track and want more ideas. Even if its trail riding WE WANT SOMTHING DIFFERENT. Anyone in kentucky have a track in their field like we do and want to share? if you share we gladly share back.

I'm not sure where Hardin County is.. but for trails we go to Exit 49 off of I-75 and there is at least 65-85 miles of sandy trails. Lots of hill climbs, and everything in between. For MX we go to Daniel Boone MX.. and recently we found Cumberland Parkway MX which is a great track just west of somersety, KY. It has a few big jumps and lots of table tops & doubles all are fairly safely designed.

Mephisto,
I assume you live in or near E-town. You are only a short ride over the river to Charlestown, IN and Podium One (15-20 mins from dowtown Lousiville). It has to be the best MX track in the area.

If you want to take in practice days there, drop me an e-mail and I will be glad to go with you. I live in Charlestown.

Ut oh...looks like they may be having trouble again.  SHeesh, such a nice track and they can't seem to hold things together.

Well, there is a practice track located another 20 miles north of Charlestown in Austin, IN. Sunrise MX, or sumsuch.

The 49er', Livingston, Chromer Ridge is all the same place & its not shut down. Rode there today 7-27-03. Good variety of trails, hills, mud, a few jumps here and there. It's part public & part privately owned, but is yet to be shut down. I'm conservatively guessing 500 riders a weekend on average. Once you get on the trails it's not that crowded though. Watch out for the drunks & rail buggies.

I've never been there but my nephew live nearby and said that it great during the week. Not crowded at all and unlimited good riding. His opinion is never go there on the weekend or holidays. We are going soon on a week day.

Some buddies and I went to 49, livingston etc., today 8-15-03 and rode for a few hours, as we went to the trucks, we met five federal park rangers that told us that the private land owners had given them the word to stop the riding in this area. Of course people have never been allowed to ride in Daniel Boone Forest but the privately owned area was open. well now it appears as if it is closed. We didn't get any ticketed anything , but clearly, they are trying to stop riding in this area.

I hate to bring this up again. I got assigned to Fort Knox (near Etown and Radcliff) on Sept 15 and have been dying to find a place to ride nearby. At this very moment I'm in Maryland for 24 hours...I came home to pick up my mountain bike, and possibly my KDX 200. Since it sounds like the livingston area is closed could ANYBODY suggest someplace within 1-2 hours of this place??!!! I've posted this inquiry before and nobody responded. I've got until about 4 pm today to decide whether to bring it out there with me or leave it in storage until next Sept 2004--Come on DRN Kentucky riders, Help a soldier out!!--Thanks!!...1LT Hubbard

Bring the bike!

Turkey Bay in Land Between the Lakes is about 2 to 2 1/2 hours from E-town.

If you can come out on Nov. 15, we're having a big DRN ride!
