Kickstart and compression question

Hey there I was wondering about kickstart compression, I have an older KDX250 and it has lots of power but I notice a big difference kicking er ovber compared to my 2 YZ250 buddies, their bikes seem alot harder to kick. Is the gearing way different in the KDX or something. I have 135lbs comp, WOT, and the reeds are soso, new set on the way.

135 is ok but it should be a bit higher. I did my top end on a 1992 kdx200 and compression was 182 afterwards. I think below 110, and the bike might not run or idle very well. The KDX's I have rode never kick as hard as a MX'er.
