Kickstart Lever

All,
I'm trying to find an aftermarket Kickstart lever for a KX500. Last year I went thru two and I tired of blowing 60-90 bucks evertime it breaks. Does anyone know if one is made or if another one off of a different model will fit. Preferably steel...

Pitbullracing.com is a kx500 website and many of the members with older 500's have broken their kickstarters.Some with newer models suggest buying a 2001-2004 kickstarter.they are substantially thicker at the kickstart mount shaft.Go to their site and look under the maintenace and technical forum.I believe there are picture that compare the two.

Yeah... the '04 kickstarter is the slick fix. And Pitbull is nice for the KX500 afficianado.
