I am considering the purchase of a 2000 KTM RFS 400EXC with E-start. I have heard some mention of engine vibration as an issue with some of the KTM's (particularly 520's). Is this an issue anyone has had with the 400's?
Thanks for any input, Colin

The 520 does vibrate, but it doesn't really matter since it's a low-frequency vibration that does not numb your hands like on big two-strokes.

I agree. The 400 and 450 I own/owned had zero vibes next to any 2 stroke. The first thing I noticed when I'd let others ride my bike is how buzzy there's all were. The 400 may have a little of a thump, not what I'd call vibes, in the very top of the RPM range but it's sure never bothersome. And I consider myself very sensitive to vibration.

Not sure about the 520/525. I understand they thump a bit harder at peak RPMs.
