I've seen a few 50cc KTMs with 12" wheels on them. Anyone know how this is done? Is it 65cc rims and spokes on 50cc hubs? Any info would be appreciated.

You need new,(longer) spokes, the 12" rim, and some patience. You can re-use the hub, but will have to play w/ fork height so as not to hit the fender w/ new wheel. Go to www.thracing.com for some info on bikes and set ups,,,,,,they have some pretty sick bikes on that site!!!!

depends on the year of your bike. 02 Sr Pro just take the 03 12"rim and stock 03 front spokes. The 01 Sr Pro requires the same rim but a different set of Buchanan spokes. I've done both, neither are too tough.

We just had our 10" converted to the 12" and had the wheels anodized black and the hubs/triple clamps powder coated candy red from the guys at Racer's Choice they look awesome and made a great birthday present. Give them a call at 972-288-3586 it only took 3 days and made our bike look so muck better. Thanks Micheal

We need specifically what year bike you are planning on doing this to. Keep in mind you can just drop the 12" wheel on your 01 if you convert to disc brakes. But converting to disc brakes on the 01 is not AMA legal. There are tons of discssions on this over at www.ktmtalk.com in the 50's seciton
