I live in japan (USAF) and am getting ready to buy a KTM. I ride almost exclusively dirt/desert, but here in Japan I will be riding mainly on base to get to and from work.

Aside from purchasing another set of wheels/tires, what goes into switching a dirt bike into a "road" bike and back?? :whoa:

When I get back to the states, I won't be able to ride a 2 stroke around town so it will become a dirt bike only. Here in Japan it could possibly be both. These are the two bikes I am considering...

Supermoto version... http://www.goobike.com/cgi-bin/search/spread.cgi?8500325B20070204008+

What do you all think?
Thanks!!

I think that supermoto version is SICK!

Does the SM bike have a dampened rear hub?

Is a dampened hub necessary to avoid damaging the transmission? :coocoo:

you can get a dampened rear hub..
the stock brakes on a dirt version ktm fade quickly on the street.

There are numerous differences from the factory ktm supermoto compaired to thier offroad versions...
