(Preventive Maintenance)
I thought we could save others some heartache by noting items that should be taken care of, but are often over-looked:
* Net time you have your rear wheel off, remove the chain adjuster bolts and place a dab of anit-seize compound in the threads (and cover the bolt) then run it all the way in to lube the threads so your chain adjusters do not seize up.
* Run a rag between the fork leg and protector to floss out any dirt in there you cannot see (after every ride). I do it when I am bleeding out the air.
* Occasionally remove your brake pads to clean the mud build up that gets compressed under the caliper - it can interfere with brake operation and might be a cause of squeaing.
