I know someone who has a PDS #1 rear spring they offered me for my KTM. I ride an '01 200 EXC and weigh, less gear, about 135. I know this spring is going to be lighter than the (I think) #2 that's in there now, but enough lighter? Is it better to get this spring or shall I order springs from a different company? Does anyone know rates on the #1? The #2 is 7.0/9.0 kg/mm according to race tech.

Did KTM change the spring for the '01s, or is that a used bike? Mine came with the #1 spring stock. The #2 is in my husband's 250 (stock). :think

I don't know. Mine is new, a 2001, as is his. I don't know which one came on what. I'm no suspension guru.

The '01 200E came stock with a PDS-1 (7.0~9.0) - don't waste your money buying another one. Isn't your spring marked?

You can get a PDS-0 (6.5~8.3). Call Jeremy, I'm sure he'll set you up - without trying to convince you that you need a Gold Valve installed! :scream:
