Hi all,
2 bikes with the same problem:
During riding, the rubber pipe that connected to the bottom of the thermostat (the one with the funny band), disconnected and all the radiator fluids was going out.
Overflow pipe and radiator cup was checked, O.K.
Any idea ?
Problem familiar to any one ?
Thx,
Ziv

Same thing happened to a friend of mine 2 weeks ago in a desert race in Utah. Hose just blew off. We are in the process of replaceing those bands with clamps on all of our RFS's.

Those crimp style clamps never hold, they will loosen over time from vibration and heating and cooling down. Replace all three of them. There is nothing wrong with your cooling system, just the clamps. Check the clamp that goes to the water pump mine was rubbing the tank and almost put a hole thru it before I caught it.

Another question on this topic. While you were at it have any of you got rid of the thermostat at the same time?
