kx 250 blowing smoke

hey guys, my 02 kx 250 sat in the shed for about 2 months with the fuel tap left on, i drained fuel and gearbox oil and replace before riding. now blows excessive smoke and fouls plugs quickly. i put hotter plug in and smoke still blows but hasnt yet completly fouled a plug.. help????

If there was fuel left in the bottom end when you stored it the gas will evaporate and leave behind the oil. This will gum up in the bottom of the cases and cause some excess smoking for a while. Another possibility is the float valve having dried out, but you should see some leakage from the overflow tube if that were the case. The worst case is that you have a transmission side crank seal that dried out and cracked, if so you should smell a foul odor and see a decrease in tranny oil level.
