If both were in the same condition, then it would be a small improvement. IMO, I doubt it would be worth the trouble. You would need the KX front wheel as well. You might need the brakes, guards and guides as well. If I remember correctly, the 1993 KX500 forks are similar to the 1991 models, so it would be their first 43mm MX USD fork.
It just seems like a small jump in technology for the amount and money involved.
