hi folks , ive built a kx/kdx special and want to smooth out the power.
ive got an fmf fatty pipe(modified to fit) standard kx 125 silencer and a v force reed block.
im looking for ideas on how to stretch out and smooth the power, a few ideas , longer silencer ? reed block spacer ? would an frp torque ring help ?
thanks in advance

I will guess it's an 04 kx125 with an 89kdx engine. That's the common surgery, anyway.

The e series KDX is known for it's smooth powerband. I wonder what could be going on with yours? What exactly is it doing that you'd want to change?

id like to mellow out the powerband or stretch it so it builds more gradually and doesent hit as hard when it kicks in.
yes its a kx chassis and kdx motor.
cheers

jetting...maybe a throttle cam system...not really sure. I had to put a throttle cam on my 300MXC. It was just beastly and hit ridiculously hard at mid-throttle.

Pretty sure 'cheep meant the stock expansion chamber and not the silencer- that'd be the route I'd try as well; I was *amazed* at the power delivery of my stock setup.
