KX vs YZ vs CR vs RM 65?

I want to upgrade my 10 year old son from him PW 80.
Which one would you recommend? His friends have race 65s, and I want him to have the fastest one!!

there really are only two: KTM 65SX and Kawasaki KX65

There are more hop up parts available for the KX, but the KTM is a superior machine. It also costs more.

There is a third option, from Cobra, but I'm not even sure if they are available yet.

Actually, there's Polini, LEM, and Cobra too. The Polini is supposed to be a very nice bike. The Cobra will be a great bike but they are just now releasing their 2nd model year. In another year it will be a tough bike to beat.

well i would have to say kawasaki but for your son to be the fastest he has to practice

Most of the fast kids ride orange, but a good rider on green can beat them. Coming off of a PW80, I expect that it will be a while before he's competetive, so please be patient and let him have fun while he learns to ride it. There is no comparison between the PW and any of the 65's.

Get him a 85, then he's going to have the fastest bike!

I personally think that at his age and making a bike upgrade, it's better for him to be more concerned about skills than outright speed.
