There is an oil seal where the KIPS powervalve operating rod goes into the powervalve chamber. My question is which way this seal goes in. One side is deeply grooved - does the grooved side face in or out???????????
Spring side of seal faces into the cylinder, make sure you have the gears timed correctly or you could have troubles with the governor balls falling out inside the motor. I had that happen on a bike I just bought on a traid I got it home and the trany locked up but the bike was still running. we dissmanteled the lowerend and found the powervalve balls in the lowerend.
is the kx100 a decent bike? this left a bad tast in my mouth for the kawies
