Get a fly wheel weight for the bike and have the engine ported for more low end power (see Eric Gorr). You may also want to look at the gearing you are running. Factory pipe seems to work pretty good on these bikes for low end torque but i have seen some using aftermarket pipes (do a search for KX100 and pipes). Make sure that the suspension is set up for the weight of the rider and that you are looking at woods suspension and not an MX set-up. I've also found that running Evan's Coolant in these bikes helps (no overheats) in the woods as you are not always flowing air through the single radiator like you would be on the track - at least the way my wife road hers.
