I have recently bought a KX125-1993 model -specs give a resistive spark plug NGK R6254K-105*(also confirmed on NGK web-cross ref guide)
The one that came in the bike is BP6HS.
After phoning around the various kawasaki agents in South Africa--they have no clue as to the technicality of trying to sell you non-speced spark plugs.

I have been suggested BPR9EGV as a rep[lacement but again it is not the diest given as per manual and factory.
Can some guru in this division please assist as I feel that I am taking to idiots locally .

This KX125 1992 and 1993 were the only vintage that seems to have opted for the Resistive plug type.(assume type of ignition used)

Can someone help me????

Regards

Hi man!

I think the KX125 1993 should have an B9EGV , however this is an expensive plug and a B9EG will work just as fine.

BP6HS it wrong!. However, take a look at the color of your plug. White plug= danger , chocolate brownish: OK .
It`s not smart to run the engine with the wrong spark plug, it affects the engines running/combustion temperature.
