kx250 motor swap in kx125?

Is it possible to put an 02 kx250 motor into a kx125 same year?

If not how much modding am i lookin at?

No...you can't without extensive modification

Although the frames look basically the same, the engine cradle is much different, so you won't just "plop" it right in. Anything is possible if you have enough talent, time and patience.

Have you ever actually looked at a KX125 and KX250 side by side?

Of course you haven't ...

no i havent looked at my 125 in years i blew the top end and that was the end of that im not gonna pay to take it in and im too lazy to fix it myself. so i got a new one

If you did swap the motors, you will have an ill handling machine. The 250 motor would put to much weight forward.

HHHmmm...... It was my understanding that a 2002 KX250 and KX125 was an identical chassis. Of course, I've been wrong before.

KX125 frame does beautifully with a KDX200 engine in there. I don't see why you couldn't manage a kx250 swap.

I want to pick up a kx125 at some point to put my kdx engine in.

again go look at the 2 bikes side by side. Heck even go visit your yamaha showroom and look at a YZ125 and YZ250. Same thing there.
