KX250 stator HELP!!!!

I have a stator that is shot in my '92 KX250, it is corroded bad and would rather replace it then destroy it trying to rebuild it. seen lots of stators on the popular *bay site but none for the 92. what other years could I make fit, from the pictures they look very similar with the exception of the wiring connections. can another model stator fit and I splice my own connections?

Well here is an update,
bought a new stator installed it and guess what no spark?
compared the wiring to the OEM stator and found it to be different?
carefully traced the wires and made the new one the same as the OEM stator.
Bike now runs BUT!!! it only idles. just opening the throttle a little the bike starts to pop and sputter. BTW the carb is clean and not the issue it works on another bike just fine.

any ideas. anyone have a wiring diagram for this bike they would like to share?
found stator coil resistance specs online and it compares within specs

check the coil wire, they are notorious for breaking
