My sons kx 60 needs brake shoes again! Last time I bought
regular shoes and got very little life out of them. My question is,
can I use sintered metal shoes on a 2000 kx 60 with out causing
harm to the hubs? The regular shoes say "not for wet or sandy
conditions". Yea right!
Thanks Steve

It sounds like your hub is allready worn so the shoes have a larger space to fill up than they did when it was not worn.
What I did was rap some of that alluminum duct tape around the pins inside the hub so more of the pads will make contact with the drum.
It's a rig fix but it works.

PS:sand or dirt + water will carve these hubs fast.
PSS: the brakes in the front are the same so you can rotate them.

Good Luck

doesn't have anything to do with making pads last longer, but you can flip rear actuator lever up instead of down and reattach linkage rod. this will get arm andlever up away from ground and above swingarm. really protects from rocks and sticks
