Hey Smitty. Seems like a posted a ride report somewhere for this ride. We had a blast, but it's totally different than what we usually ride. The Admo tours guy is a great guy and a lot of fun to spend the day with. The bikes are DRZ400s. They were in pretty good shape. I had no complaints with my bike. One of my buddies was on a bike that didn't have aftermarket exhaust and he thought that it was a little under powered for the sand washes. We didn't ride anything that was too technical or too tight. What we did get was mileage. We did about 135 miles for the day, and the sun was just setting when we pulled back into the parking lot. Having never ridden in the desert, I think it was totally worth it. All in all, a very fun day.
There is another tour guy out of Las Vegas. His tours are more off-road focues. He uses KTM 450s and 525s. I think he just got two new 450s. I can find out his details, if you want. He goes to a place north of Las Vegas, I think.
Also, Rv6Junkie, rode with Uwe (the admo guy) about two weeks after I did. I think he had a good time too. He posted about it somewhere.
Oh, BTW, if you watch the Red Bull Dakar rider search show on OLN, you will see the exact trails that we rode on. In fact, one morning, they left on a simulated special test from the parking lot of Whiskey Pete's.
