Sent in my entry for the Piglet today. Who else is planning on riding it?

For those who have always wanted to ride the trails at Clear Creek, this would be a great opportunity to see 55-60 miles worth! :clue:

Just got back from Clear Creek. Conditions are :thumb:

Does anyone know if the BLM will open up the big field for camping like they did last year?

I received an e-mail from the club's information guy, and he said the BLM will not be opeing the camping area closest to the entrance - not good for us.

We will not need that overflow parking area this year. :)

This year we (TMC) were able to procure the use of the large gravel landing strip just before Clear Creek canyon.!! :yeehaw: :yeehaw:

When you make the left off of Coalinga road to go into Clear Creek canyon, you will cross the creek and then make a left, not a right. Bring on the big RV's. :thumb:

Excellent, FJ. Thanks for coming thru.

That's the way I remember it - oh - in '79's Quicksilver; you cross the creek, then hang an immediate left (instead of right) to sign up.

FJ,
Will the BLM allow us to have campfires / bonfires / signal fires that can be seen from space?

It's Los Gatos Rd. and a right turn for us Southerners.:)

Will there be any poisonous/endangered weed at this site?

Only if you bring them and what is left of the endangered turtle that you ran over while riding in the desert. :joke:

I belive fires will be okay with the land owner.
Not a BLM issue.

I got my minute (29E) but won't be riding. I'm still going to show up and pit and cheer you guys on!! I have some friends from my hometown of Half Moon Bay showing up to ride and I will be hanging out with them. I will look for all of you in the Landing Strip overflow parking then?? I'll be driving the Yukon but probably will not be bringing the bike since I still can't hang on to the throttle!! We'll see. I'm thinking I might try putting in my front drive and see how it goes, it would be easier to get around for "visits" on the bike for sure :thumb:

John,
You may want to rephrase that statement, to "who's bringing firewood?

Uh, sure my friend: firewood, that is - yes; definitely firewood.
