We may be getting hammered even harder down here with 91 at over $2 a litre and 95 around $2.10 when I heard on the news that crude prices were only equal to a time (about the 80s I think) when we paid less than half at the pump.

Thanks I live about 800 km north of Christchurch and as yet have no personal losses, so I'm very fortunate. As you will have seen the ground either fell off the side of a hill or turned to quicksand. This is New Zealand greatest ever loss of life with the known and the missing.
My tour group all stopped for our minutes of silence, as did the rest of our nation, at 1pm yesterday to remeber and respect all who have been effected first hand.
I sent a personal email to the only DRN guy I know in Christchurch and hope to hear from him soon

I seen a map, of the highest gas in our country. It just so happens to be the poorest areas also. Kind of hard to believe living too close to Chicago. I am sure they have some prices to scare the color off my truck! But a thousand bucks for tires? What is this world coming to? That is almost what I paid for my dirt bike suspension!

thought id add in australia were paying $1.48 per liter for e10 so 91octane with 10%ethanol worrst fuel known to man lol 98 octane or 100octane is at least 1.60 1.65 per liter

$1.65 per litre PLUS per kilometer roadtax and double registration fee for being diesel, better hope NZ never conquores the world, we have taxes on our taxes on our tax.

In California, the state taxes on fuel are also applied to the federal taxes.

In my area, a few of bargain places are still barely under $4.00 for 87 octane regular, but most are $4.10 - $4.20/gallon.

Along Interstate 5, some remote stations are as high as $4.999 for diesel and $4.50 for regular.
