Lookin for a bike and some help would be good.

1.)Im 6'0" and about 160 pounds.
2.)I was on swim team in high school.
3.)I plan to ride motocross tracks and trails.
4.)I have 5 years riding experience.
5.)I plan on racing.
6.)I can do a little work on bikes.
7.)I dont really have a certain choice of brand but lookin for a 2 stroke or 4 stroke.
8.)Yes there is a dealer a few blocks from where i live and they have yamaha and suzuki and like I said brand doesnt make a huge difference to me.
9.)Well im not lookin for a brand new bike right off the showroom floor, but anywhere from $2,500.00 to $3,500.00 is around the price im lookin for.

well since you want to race you can rule out a trail bike.. but since you want to ride trails too you can rule out small cc race bikes.. for your height and riding experience id go with a Honda CRF250R four stroke race bike because it would dominate the trail and track.. if you previously owned a bike like this and got tired of it well.. i guess i would look at a CRF450R but that all depends on you

It looks like you already have a trail bike (xr 250) so maybe a used rm125 like a 2002-2005 those usually go for 2500-3500. Does that dealership also sell used bikes?

No the dealership doesnt have used bikes. My previous bike was acctualy an XR 250 haha. Lookin for a 125, 250f, or a 250 and not sure which one would be good for steppin up from an XR 250.

Go for a crf 250r. Go get the want-ad, dealerships screw you on used bikes.
