Looking for more power

I recently started riding my 03 KX250 in the sand and noticed very quickly that I need some more power. I have a "Q" series FMF pipe with a Pro circuit expansion chamber which has a few dents in it. I was told this could contribute to the loss of power, along with having a "Q" series pipe because it’s longer. I am due for a top end rebuild. So, my question is, Will getting a new expansion chamber and silencer style pipe plus the top end rebuild drastically add more power? Any pointers??

how bad is the sand deep stuff?
i noticed a marked improvement just by adjusting my gearing on my yz 125 and a fresh top end
seems that im in the meat of power band more although i do need to shift more
and i ride sugar sand mostly down here in florida
not glamis type sand i wish lol
