I'm planning on looking at a '98 CR 125 today and i understand this was the first year of the aluminum frame. I'm wondering how that frame has held up during the last 8 years? Also, Is the the '98 motor a "good" one? Any pros cons with the '98?

This guy is asking $1,400 firm and it looks to be in very good condition.
Any feedback is appreciated before i make a hour long drive to see/buy the bike. thanks

Im looking at cr125's too, i was told that from 93-97 were the best years, from then on the motors have been a bit more restrictive and slower. In 98 however, they started making them with the aluminum frames instead of steel. Hope That helped alittle. The price seems good for a 98 cr125 at $1,400. I say check it out, if you like it and it seems solid and doesnt need a bunch of work, buy it.

Good luck
